Curse of the Centuries
She closed her eyes and wished for eternal life. Kneeled, for everlasting days. It was in the way the vampires looked at her. Seeing the secret of forever in their eyes. She showed them her veins and they showed her their teeth ready to bleed.
After the sky turned they began every intended damnation. Hidden in darkness, flying silently through the vines.
Staying out of sight, quenching their thirst before the morning light.
Every eye was on high alert.
The city’s newspaper said “keep the vampires from your sight.”
Dealing with a centuries old curse, she held every victim in her bleeding heart.
She struggled and cried.
She didn’t realize her new life would be this way.
Every night will be black.
There is no escape. It won’t fade away.
It’s a vicious path. You’ve been warned to stay out of their way.
